I am a qualified sophrologist, living and working in the UK, but connecting online with people all over the world.  Sophrology is a therapeutic method for holistic wellbeing that combines breathwork, dynamic relaxation (gentle movements to relax the body and mind), meditation and visualisation, all delivered in the alpha-brainwave state of deep relaxation and openness.  It is a very popular and widely-used method in continental Europe to promote wellbeing and balance.  The journey downwards that Jem describes is, I believe, the way up; we descend in order to realign, to come into new understanding, and to emerge armed with wisdom and compassion to act in the world.  Sophrology is a powerfully transformative method for enabling us to contact this wisdom and our inner resources – all of which this world needs so much at the moment.  It is a journey that is entirely bespoke, tailored to each individual client.  It meets you just where you are.  The practice gently strengthens you, restores peacefulness and spaciousness inside, builds positivity and sends you out into the world to act in alignment with your values.

I have travelled the way of collapse over the last three years, so the experience of 2020 has not been uncharted territory for me.  I have known deep physical, mental, emotional and spiritual distress.  I have known the coccoon, or waiting time.  I have also known profound healing and strengthening, and a new understanding of the gifts that I can bring to the world to help us all find our own way through.

This is a road I continue to travel in my own life, and it would be my privilege to serve as guide for you, and help your own wisdom – not mine – become more fully embodied, and your unique contribution become clearer.  For the process, it seems to me, is that we fall, we wait, and then we rise.  Let’s rise together.  We all need what only you can bring to this moment in time.
