Æversion symbolises the interiorisation of reality; it is a subversive initiation into the realms of Mystery and sanity in insane, catastrophic times. It has been dreamed up to provide a temporal space without judgement or taboo wherein two (or more) people can share in their soul journeys together through the mediums of, but not limited to, dialogue and independent study. As co-conspirators of the imaginal we commit to the reading and integration of MAPPs (Maya Altering Poetry and Prose) from all true spiritual paths. I will assist you in cultivating insight into the soil of your psyche as it presents to landscapes of place and consequence: to help in consciously (re-)aligning your self with your ecological purpose in life. As we explore this terrain, both above and below, within and without, we will learn how to create a container by which to hold our expanding awareness in a spirit of embodied, communitarian service.

Community is of deep importance to the work we will engage in together. As the world becomes ever more interconnected technologically we are witness to ever deeper divisions between groups. It is increasingly difficult for individuals to find sympathetic people with whom to share their deepest concerns and embrace collapse: whom do I trust? Ultimately, only you can answer that question in learning to trust your own intuition through veridical experience.

Awakening to collapse can be truly devastating for the ego personality, sharing this pain is of huge benefit not just for oneself but others too. How does a person transmute their grief-filled sorrow into praise and appreciation for beauty? Is this even possible? The simple, perhaps surprising, answer is yes. Catastrophe (overturning) and apocalypse (unveiling), two words rich in esoteric symbolism, speak to what mystics from all traditions point toward: the illusory, impermanent nature of reality. The World Tree (one etymological root meaning of the ‘æ’ in æversion) is withered, but not yet wholly wrecked.

I welcome you (and friends in small groups) to walk this path in companionship, to explore the historical and spiritual transitions which have brought us to where we are and where we may be going.
